LG Poll: Abeokuta North PDP Chairmanship Candidate Secures Traditional Rulers' Endorsement

Ahead of November 16th local government election in Abeokuta North local government area, the  People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday flagged off its campaign in the local government area with a visit to royal fathers in Oke Ogun Community where the party's chairmanship candidate, Hon Adewusi Ambali and his deputy Hon Akinbode Akinmade recieved royal blessings and endorsement from prominent traditional rulers in Oke-Ogun Community in the local government area.

Receiving Adewusi and his entourage in his Palace, the Onisaga of Isaga Oba Olusoji Tella and his Chiefs blessed the chairmanship candidate, wishing him a successful outcome in the November 16th Council election.

In the same vein, the Onilewo of Ilewo, Oba Clement  Omosowon also endorsed Adewusi's ambition with  royal blessing. 

Onilewo who was represented by Chiefs in the  Palace noted that the PDP has what it takes to bring massive development to the  grassroot recalling that the only maternity centre in Ilewo was facilitated by the PDP administration.
Addressing party faithful and the electorate at Ibara- Orile ward 16, the chairmanship candidate assured that if elected the grassroot will benefit from his administration.

He enjoined the electorate to come out en masse and vote for PDP candidates admonishing then to jettison the popular saying that their vote won't count.

Speaking in Ward 9, Sabo Area in Abeokuta, Adewusi said he was sure of victory at the forthcoming council election with the level acceptability by the electorate accross the 16 wards.

He called on the Gbenga Osibodu led- Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) to allow level playing ground by conducting a free and fair election.

Earlier,  the Party Chairman in the local government area, Hon. Yussuf Oshunrinde said he was impressed with the level of turn out for the party and its candidates at the campaign grounds.

The Director General Adewusi/Akinmade campaign organisation,  Hon. Moroof Ajisegiri was also confident of victory at the council election.
