Harmony Community Olomore Celebrates AGM in Grand Style, Commissions Newly Installed 11KVA Transformer

Harmony Community Development Association (CDA) Olomore in Abeokuta North Local Government Area CDC held its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday in a grand ceremony that featured the commissioning of a newly installed 11KVA transformer donated by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

In his address, the Chairman of the CDA, Chief Julius Olawale Oloyede, expressed gratitude to the government for the transformer and praised the community's efforts in fully energizing it at a cost of N12 million. 

He appealed to the state government to provide a good and motorable road within and around the community.

In his remarks, the Chairman of Abeokuta North Urban Area CDC, Chief Leke Adio, encouraged the community to continue engaging in laudable projects. 

Meanwhile, the Abeokuta North All Progressive Congress Party Chairman Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde represented by the Party youth leader Comrade Akinbo Solomon appreciated the Governor for the project.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Mrs. Hassan Alimot, representing the Ministry of Community Development and Cooperatives, Mrs. Lasisi Muhibat , Abeokuta North Local Government officer, past and current Chairmen of neighboring CDAs, community members, friends, and family.

In 2023, Harmony CDA partnered with five neighboring communities in the Ire-Akari Oke- Odo area commissioned a bridge project valued at 10 million naira. The bridge was constructed by CCECC, a renowned Chinese construction company. 

This collaborative effort marked a significant achievement for the communities, demonstrating their collective commitment to infrastructure development and improvement of living standards in the area.
