Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has praised the Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon. Mudashir AbdulLateef Adekunle, for his dedication and commitment to delivering developmental projects in the council area.Representing the Governor at the commissioning of projects across the ten wards of the council, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Rasaq Daddah, noted that the Chairman had demonstrated his ability to fix series of issues confronting the grassroots.
In his remarks, Hon. Mudashir highlighted his achievements in the last three years, including renovation of schools, health facilities, and the Local Government Secretariat, installation of solar-powered street lights, and purchase of official vehicles, among others.
The Chairman appreciated the Governor, leaders, and people of the council area for their support and cooperation, promising to do more if given another chance to serve.
He stressed that, he was able to provide people- oriented and developmental capital projects for the benefit of the people of the Council Area as that of the concrete flooring, fencing, painting and landscaping of the entire Secretariat is major and capital project that was embarked upon by his Administration which is testament to giving a face lift to the Secretariat.
Hon. Mudashir implored the good people of Ogun Waterside Local Government to see this project and other government projects as collective properties which must be guarded jealously for their sustainability, effectiveness and optimal use.
The Council Boss then reeled out his achievements in the last Three (3) year as thus;
1. Renovation of a block of 2 Classrooms with office at Community Primary School, Iwopin,
2. Renovation of Four Classrooms with office at St. Matthias Primary School, Ilushin
3. Repair of the Local Government Komatsu Grader, which we have used greatly in grading our Local Roads.
4. Installation of 620 Solar Powered Street Lights across all the Ten Wards
5. Renovation of Ita Ogun Health Facility with Toilets
6. Renovation of Legislative Chamber with Purchase of Ultra Modern Furniture
7. Concrete Flooring/Fencing/Painting & Landscaping of the entire Local Government Secretariat.
8. Regular Evacuation of refuse across the Local Government Area,
9. Regular purchase of drugs for Health Centres.
10. Purchase of official vehicles for the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Leader of the House, Secretary to the L.G, HOLGA as well as for boosting the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Council Area.
11. Clearing of Road Verges on the both sides from Iwopin to J4 junction.
12. Purchase of 40 Beds, Pillows, and Mattresses for all the Health Facilities.
13. Facilitation of patching of Iwopin to J4 to Abigi Roads respectively.
"my administration has performed to the best of its ability and in commensuration with the available resources at its disposal. We have been able to deliver on our mandate and campaign promises we made to you when we came to seek for your votes and I hope, with your unflinchingly supports once more, we will be able to do more and bring more dividends of democracy to your doorsteps in our future endeavours, politically."
He reiterated his little appreciation and honour also to all the electorates, the State Executive Council, the All Progressive Congress Stalwarts, the Executive and Legislative Arms, Management Team, Kabiyesis, Baales, Iyalojas, Babalojas, Religious Leaders, Career/ Political Staff, and Gentlemen of the Press for their supports and cooperations towards achieving this much.
Dignitaries at the event, including APC leaders, traditional rulers, and government officials, commended the achievements of the Hon. Mudashir-led administration.
