Professor Odemuyiwa, a respected educationist and grassroots politician, was en route to his lecturing duties at Leads University in Ibadan when the accident occurred.
Formerly serving as the Special Adviser on Vocational and Technical Education to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Professor Odemuyiwa's contributions to education and politics were highly regarded.
Senator Adeola in a condolence message to the family of Professor Odemuyiwa emphasized the significant loss not only to Ogun State but also to the nation.
He highlights Professor Odemuyiwa's exceptional blend of academic prowess and grassroots engagement, which played a vital role in advocating for good governance and societal development.
“I am greatly pained and sad at the demise of Professor Odemuyiwa who was a close political associate of mine in Ogun State as far back as 2012. He was always forthright in his analysis of the politics and governance in Ogun State and his contributions to the development of education, particularly vocational and technical education, remains unassailable” he stated.
Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the erudite professor and the fortitude for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
The Senator also expressed his condolences to the family of Mr. Igbeyinadun Ogunfuyi, popularly known as Same, the Secretary to Yewa South LGA (SLG), who tragically passed away yesterday in Ilaro.
Senator Adeola acknowledged Mr. Ogunfuyi's dedicated service of over two years, noting the significant void his passing has left in both his family and the local government administration.
He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Mr. Ogunfuyi's soul and for strength and solace for his grieving loved ones.
