Chief Odegbami announced the passing of his son, who departed in the early hours of Good Friday, 29 March 2024, after a brief illness.
Michael-Azeez Ogunsiji, Chairman of SWAN in Ogun State, personally signed an emotional condolence message, expressing the association's heartfelt sympathy with Odegbami during this difficult time.
Ogunsiji acknowledged the immense pain a father must endure upon losing a highly gifted and multi-talented young man like Oluwagbeminiyi.
According to Ogunsiji, losing one's son who has grown up to be a highly gifted and multi-talented young man would be an incredibly painful experience to bear for a father.
He said, “The Ogun SWAN shares in the pains of our dear Olusegun Odegbami and his family are passing through now.
“Please know that the entire Ogun sports fanatics are here for you during this difficult time. However, surround yourself with loved ones who can provide comfort and understanding. They can be a source of strength and support as you navigate through this challenging journey.
"Remember, you're not alone in this, and there are people who care about you and want to help you through this difficult time.
"Healing takes time, and it's a personal journey, we pray Almighty God in His infinite mercies receive the soul of the deceased and grant him eternal rest," Ogunsiji said.
