Mace Club To Mark 40th Anniversary with Series of Humanitarian activities



Mace club of Nigeria is set to mark it's 40th anniversary with series of humanitarian activities 

The Chairman of the Planning Committee for the anniversary, Seriki Tosin Fadare, revealed the club's plans during a press conference held at the club house Kobape road, Abeokuta.

Mace Club, known for fostering friendship among its members and providing support during challenges, is gearing up for a momentous celebration of its four decades of existence. 

Seriki Tosin Fadare highlighted the club's commitment to philanthropy, mirroring government efforts in distributing palliatives during economic crises.

The chairman said the events are set to commence with a Press Conference on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, followed by a series of activities including visits to less privileged homes, prayers, a public lecture, and culminating in a grand finale at the Club House on Friday, April 19th, 2024.


Reflecting on past humanitarian initiatives, Seriki added that the club has consistently supported various causes, including providing aid to lepers' colonies, orphanages, and schools for handicapped children. 

Seriki submitted that the club has instituted scholarship schemes and organized educational events such as the Roll-Back Malaria Debate and Quiz competitions.

He hinted that club prides itself on intellectual engagement, hosting monthly lectures on topical issues.


His words " Right from inception of the this club, it has been intellectual engagement , in this club we have what we call monthly lecture that members will be mandated or deliver a lecture on topical issue going on. 

For the upcoming anniversary lecture, the club has invited renowned socialite, Alhaji Tajudeen Akande, President of Ikeja Business Club, to speak on the topic on "Good governance and the potential roles  social clubs can play".
