This announcement was made by the Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, during a meeting with community leaders at his office in Owode-Egba on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
The projects which encompass the construction of classrooms, markets, asphalt roads, and motorized boreholes across various wards within the council area.
The Council Chairman also took the opportunity to express his satisfaction with the remarkable progress achieved by the local government, noting that Obafemi Owode Local Government has garnered increased global recognition following the recent award received from the Canadian Government at the recently concluded Pan-African Drum Festival held in Brampton, Ontario.
He dedicated the award to Engr. Babatunde Adesina, Special Adviser to Governor on Public Works, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, from whom he has learned, as well as to all party leaders of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Amb. Ogunsola emphasized his commitment to promoting the local government and urged all indigene of Obafemi Owode Local Government in diaspora to engage in developmental initiatives by investing in the council area. While he commended His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for supporting his led administration and for fostering private-public partnerships, which have significantly contributed to the growth of investments in Ogun State and specifically in Obafemi Owode Local Government.
Furthermore, Amb. Ogunsola assured the residents of the council area of the ongoing provision of additional developmental projects, stating that after the rainy season, the grading of community roads will commence across the twelve wards of the local government area.
