He highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Obafemi Owode Local Government, which is part of Egbaland, predominantly inhabited by the Egba Ake community.
He took the opportunity to encourage Africans, particularly the sons and daughters of Obafemi Owode Local Government, to invest in the culture, arts, and traditions of their locality as a means of promoting their heritage, assuring them of the government's support in revitalizing the cultural values of the region.
Amb. Ogunsola emphasized that Obafemi Owode Local Government is the host of the annual Lisabi Day, with the shrine (Igbo Lisabi) located in Oba, one of the districts within the council area.
Earlier, Prince Segun Akanni, Chief Organizer of the event, expressed appreciation to the Canadian government and all levels of government for fostering a nation where multiculturalism is not only acknowledged but celebrated.
