Oke-Ona Community Endorses Hon. Dr. Babatunde Tella for Second Term

Ward 4, Elega, of the Oke-Ona Community in Abeokuta North Local Government has formally declared its unwavering support for the re-election of Hon. Dr. Babatunde Tella to the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The endorsement was made during the ward’s maiden strategic meeting held yesterday, which brought together prominent leaders, respected elders, and committed party members, all united in strengthening grassroots support for continuity in effective representation.

In their remarks, stakeholders commended Hon. Tella for his impactful leadership and people-oriented initiatives across the constituency.Among the key achievements highlighted was the provision of a borehole in the Housing area, alongside various empowerment and employment opportunities facilitated for constituents.

Hon. Kelani, while addressing attendees, expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Tella’s visible contributions, noting that many residents have directly benefited from his leadership. In the same vein, the Ward 4 Elega Councillor, Hon. Durojaye Ismail Olanrewaju, urged members to remain united and focused, emphasizing the developmental strides recorded under Tella’s tenure. He noted that even greater progress is expected if he is given another term in office.

Community leaders also spoke in strong support of the endorsement. Alhaji Moruf Adekunle described Hon. Tella as “a pride of the community,” while the Ward 4 APC Chairman, Alhaji Mutiu, reaffirmed the ward’s loyalty, stating that Hon. Tella has consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people. He encouraged members to remain steadfast in their support.

Party members further used the occasion to advocate for continued responsible and transparent leadership within the ward. A speaker appealed to ward leaders to remain committed to the collective interest of the people and also extended an invitation to Hon. Tella to visit the community in the near future.

The youth were equally represented, as the Ward Youth Leader, Monsuru Odebunmi (popularly known as CIRO Fighter), called for increased inclusion of young people in empowerment and development programmes.

Speaking on behalf of the councillors present, Rt. Hon. Erubami Ajani expressed appreciation to Ward 4 members for their unity and solidarity, assuring them of the council’s full support.

Other councillors in attendance included Hon. Akeyan Lateef, Hon. Victor Olabiyi Olusola, Hon. Ajibola Moruff, Hon. Adeogun Lukmon, Hon. Afolabi Olakunle Kazeem, and Hon. Durojaye Ismail Olanrewaju.

The meeting concluded on a note of unity, confidence, and optimism, with a resounding consensus that the continued representation of Hon. Dr. Babatunde Tella will further accelerate development in Abeokuta North State Constituency.
