Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has congratulated elder statesman and former Ogun State governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, on his installation as Baba Ijo of St. Michael’s Anglican Church Oke-Egunya.

In a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Sunday, Soyoola described the honour as a well-deserved recognition of Osoba’s lifelong commitment to faith, leadership and service to humanity.

He noted that the installation reflects Osoba’s enduring legacy not only in politics and journalism but also in the Christian community.

“This recognition is a testament to Chief Osoba’s unwavering dedication to God’s work and his exemplary life of service. His leadership has continued to inspire generations across Ogun State and Nigeria,” Soyoola said.

The senatorial hopeful praised Chief Osoba for his role in nation building and his contributions to the development of Ogun State, saying the new spiritual responsibility would further deepen his impact on society.

According to him, the elder statesman has consistently demonstrated humility, wisdom and integrity in both public and private life.

Soyoola added that Osoba’s installation as Baba Ijo symbolizes the trust and respect he commands within the church and the wider community. “It is my prayer that God grants him the strength, good health and wisdom required to carry out this new role effectively,” he stated.

He further urged members of the church and the public to continue to support Osoba in his new capacity, emphasizing that his guidance and experience remain invaluable to the state and the nation.
