The Chairperson disclosed that the exercise is to prevent series of ailments and diseases that may affect children between the ages of 9 months to 14 years old.
She explained that the government has done well in providing necessary support in making available the vaccines to prevent some of the ailments that can hinder the growth and well-being of a child at infantry.
While encouraged the mother's to make seize the opportunity to get their children vaccinated whenever the medical professionals get to their house.
She thanked the representative of World Health Organization(WHO) for identified with the government and the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government in particular.
In her goodwill message, Dr. Laura, representative of WHO, Geneva commended the government for the warm reception accorded her and members of the team.
She explained that her observation with proper conduct of resident since Tuesday 27th was commendable, as she stressed that the sole aim of the program is to provide strong immunity in body system of the children between the ages of 9 months to 14 years against any disease and ailments.
She further encouraged all the residents that are nursing mother's to take part in the exercise, as it is beneficial to their children.
Earlier, Dr. Otuyalo Akinsanya, Health Secretary, Obafemi Owode Local Government decorated the Chairperson as the MRV Champion and appreciated the government for prioritizing the good health of children as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
He thanked the representative of W.H.O for carrying out on-the-spot assessment of the exercise, as the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government has demonstrated a high level of cooperation and compliance.
