Reconstruction of the long-abandoned community hall in Akinale
The positive transformation currently taking place in the town has been attributed to the leadership and developmental vision of the Oba-elect.
According to the Youth Chairman of the community, Mr. Adeola Makinde, the atmosphere in Akinale has changed dramatically since the election of the new traditional ruler.
He noted that residents are excited and hopeful about the future, as the Oba-elect has already begun taking impactful steps to revitalize the town.
One of the most notable projects initiated by the newly elected monarch is the renovation of the long-abandoned community hall.
The hall, which had remained in a state of disrepair since the year 2000, is now undergoing extensive refurbishment to restore it to use for community events and programs.
“This hall has been abandoned for over two decades, but immediately after our kabiyesi was elected, he started its renovation. This single act has brought a wave of happiness to every son and daughter of Akinale,” Mr. Makinde stated.
Residents of Akinale, both at home and in the diaspora, have praised the new monarch for demonstrating leadership and commitment even before his formal installation. Many have described his actions as a sign of great things to come for the ancient town.
Mr. Makinde also revealed that the Oba-elect is not resting on his oars, as he has been making additional efforts to initiate other developmental projects that will benefit the community. He emphasized that the people are solidly behind him and ready to support all community-oriented initiatives.
The post-selection atmosphere in the community has also been one of unity and peace. Mr. Makinde confirmed that following the selection process, all contestants for the royal stool met together, each one preaching peace, unity, and a shared commitment to the progress of Akinale.
He added that the former contenders have also been actively involved in inspecting the renovation work and supporting the Oba-elect’s initiatives.
