The Oke-Ona Egba Youth Council, under the leadership of its National Coordinator, Comrade Akinrombi Oluwafemi, has congratulated High Chief Johnson Babatunde Kokumo on his installation as the Balogun Ilugun Christian.
The momentous occasion took place on Thursday, at the Methodist Primary School in Ago-Oko, Abeokuta.
In his congratulatory message, Comrade Oluwafemi praised Chief Kokumo for his unwavering dedication to community service and his exemplary leadership qualities, which have earned him this prestigious position.
He noted that the installation was a recognition of Chief Kokumo’s consistent efforts in promoting unity, development, and spirituality within the OkeOna Egba Christian community.
In addition to Chief Kokumo, several other eminent individuals were also installed with notable chieftaincy titles during the ceremony.
Comrade Oluwafemi commended the OkeOna Egba Christian community for its continued efforts in preserving the cultural and spiritual legacy of the OkeOna Egba people.
He emphasized that the conferment of these titles not only celebrates the individuals but also serves as a call to greater service and responsibility.
Comrade Oluwafemi reiterated the importance of unity and collaboration among the people of OkeOna Egba, urging the new chiefs to use their positions to promote peace, progress, and prosperity in the community.
He expressed optimism that their leadership would inspire the younger generation to contribute meaningfully to the development of the community.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including religious leaders, traditional rulers, and government officials, all of whom applauded the new titleholders for their dedication and commitment to the betterment of OkeOna Egba.
