Muyiwa Fajimi, a seasoned financial expert and philanthropist, has announced his intention for the position of the Executive Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government.
Born and raised in Abeokuta, Fajimi hails from the Fajimi family of Owu Totoro Abeokuta. He has a strong educational background, having studied Economics at the University of Georgia and later earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Colorado State University.
He also holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Global Management from the same university and is currently pursuing his PhD in Public Administration from National University.
Fajimi has over 15 years of experience in Financial Services and has founded several companies, including Ultimate Financial Consultancy Limited, Ultimate Microfinance Limited, and Devote Global, Corp. He has also worked with top financial institutions, including Bank of America.
However, Fajimi's true passion lies in public service. He has been involved with various non-profit organizations and has served as a board member for several organizations, including the Boy Scouts Association of Nigeria and the Centre for Grassroot, Education, Healthcare, and Empowerment.
Fajimi's political career spans over a decade, during which he has contested for various positions, including the chairmanship of Abeokuta North and the Ogun State House of Assembly. He is driven by a desire to empower his people and eradicate poverty.
While speaking with News Channel Fajimi said "My ambition for politics is purely driven by repeated calls from my people to come around and represent them at the local level.
"I am passionately concerned with the growing poverty among my people, and I feel that it is shameful that as heavily endowed as Nigeria is, many people are still struggling with poverty."
"I promise to work tirelessly to ensure that our community is transformed and that our people are empowered to reach their full potential," Fajimi said.
Fajimi's vision for Abeokuta North Local Government is to create a prosperous and sustainable community, where everyone has access to basic amenities and opportunities for growth.
